Self evaluation my academic year 2009

This year has passed quickly, just beginning March and we do not realise that very soon we are already in the last days of the year. Despite how quickly time has passed is always important to pause a little and make an analysis or a reflection of the year which is already finished. During the year have been an endless number of things that are important to me as a professional development because I can already say that I am currently in the most important stage of my career, and are the final steps to achieving my dream goal “be professional. "

This year we will already have had classes that have been important in my career. I learned many things that relate directly to our work as educators. I advanced in my way, every time I come to be more professional and I feel more prepared to face our work but in real contexts.

Many teachers in our careers have been a foundation for us to grow as people and professionals, for example, teachers of language classes, construction of the social, family and community history and have taught us to take responsibility for education in Chile, keep in mind that we fulfilled a fundamental role in the development and growth of our country. However I have to improve in many aspects such as being more persistent with what I want, fight for those things that I think are necessary for my career as an educator, have to fight for more optimal library demanding the increase in available texts area of education, that's what I commit myself and not let others seeking solutions to problems that involve me also.

This academic year, compared with previous years, has been most valuable and challenging because we are more connected with our career, we're clear on objectives and which path we choose to achieve them.

When I look back I have Realized that I have accomplished many thing, I have made good progress, I feel more adult and responsible with the way I have chosen. My achievements are not just for myself; my family is also behind it, they who have given me the strength to move on and l have given me courage not to decline. I have many things to improve and many more to strengthen. This year has had many challenges but it is only the beginning of a long way in the not too distant future I will be completely proud

Challenges in your Discipline

In the area of technology my discipline currently has important role in technology because the kids has real connection whit the cyber world, in your house has computer whit internet connection and has other technologies how mp3, digital camera, etc. The teachers have the mission of the renew and we is to be in modern time

Many teachers have stayed a step behind regarding this topic, many are horrified with the cyber world believe is a threat and not see it as an advantage to help their students.

The education in Chile is a little retrograde in comparison with our present society, changes in our society are faster and more education is at the moment is passing thoughts that were born in the decades of the 70 `s and 80` s. grandistancia is separating us from the reality.

It`s important to us, future educators, we are consistent with our arguments in our hands and take responsibility for decreasing the gap in education today.

Improving your Faculty Facilities

In this moment in the faculty my situation is busy, because in the different areas of my carrer we asked more works, orals test and writting test. For this situation is necessary We have the enviroment adequate for study in this faculty. In the university to exist differents places for study for example the library, computer room, gim and other places very confortable. Is necessary have in the class room fresh air, it could to install air-conditioned for example for study in operfect condition. Other thing necessary is the study room from We can study quietly and confortable. For this problem my frist step is study in other faculty, Faculty of Philosophy, because in this place I can study and read boocks quietly. This Faculty have armchairs confortables, is very quiet at difference of the library of my Faculty, is very noisy. for resolve this situation it´s possible have the delivery letter for rector of my Faculty explain the situation and propose give money for implement the project of improve the study place in side of faculty. The project it could create for the students of this faculty, contribute whit own ideas. Of this form is possible we have the place for study and prepare a tests. So the estudents could to take good exams. Do you thing so?

Other futurews recomendations is improve the place in outdoors, not every thing is study too we have a rest. too is important and urgent improve the toilets because it´s in dreadful condition. We have much for work

In the "guardian.co.uk news" published the new about the furlough Fridays in the public schools of Hawaii. Suggest at public schools reduction days in the week, five day from four days. The students is very happy because they are been off class one day in the week for play, to rest and watch tv at home. the other point, the techers don´t like the suggest because in their work have forced to take unpaid days off.

Is very important discuss about the benefit or not of this idea because we can´t deny it what for childens is less stressful because in the schools they are in test and they are every days sitting in the chairs. But when speak about the teachers We have a volte-face, the teacher lose the opportunity of take more money becuse they take unpaid days off. possibly maybe is dificult have consensus in this topic.

whit hand in my hard, I like take only one free day overcoat in this moment because I need little freedoom, far from the University and their brainwork.

Election day

I don´t registered to vote and for this moment I`m not interested in politician, possibly maybe in next years I consider registered in the election. The politics in this time are big liars, they promise to obtain votes but not carry out an offer. My opinion on electoral campaigns I s very criticize because I don’t think so in candidates, I think what they have nothing for contribute in the society. They are seek fame and power, take a control on the Estate.

The next president he must be in promise whit the persons in social risk and the controversial areas in relation whit contingency. He has in mind solutions for the people, his temperament must be suitable for to take risk and to be able guide the government.

Never and ever has I thought consider be politician because I don’t interested I’m in the office far from the realities of the people. Other reason is because I don´t the idea doesn´t attract me, is very bored. I would work in the ministery of education because I ´m qualified for take hold this public office, I have knowledge on education in children’s.

In my country the problems are in special in the area of criminal, social protection, juvenile delinquency and desertion in schools

Criminal Laws

The capital punishment not is good idea because there is another alternative to reduce criminality for example to encourage education in the sector with more juvenile delinquency for we can to prevent take measures there capital punishment. We can´t decide about to kill the people. My option is the life, is very important give justice at all time but the really difficult is know when is the moment or if necessary. The work in now for the differents states is prevent the criminal intercourse in the all countries, specially in te towns in the social risk, make a desicions about the criminal laws in the modern world. The Pros of the capital punishment is avoid the murderous flee from justice for example pedophile, assassines and other criminals of larg bore. Too there aspects negatives in the capital punishment when to acuse innocent person because to kill wrong person, there is a delicate matte.

I was victim of a crime, specially pick pockething in the bus of the transantiago years ago, for lucky I did´t realice when extract of my bag the money for pay the billes.
Was horrible experience but only extract money and I didn´t nothing serius when I saw in other the last year, was a kill the man inside the bus of the transantiago. Now the criminal is in the freedoom in the outsaid of Chile.

Santiago the place interesting

In Santiago of Chile can you visit differents places very interesting. There are outdoors places or where you could learn and enjoy. In the center of santiago you could visit the San Cristobal hill, right there you should enjoy in the metropolitan Zoo, there is you find different animals of Chile or animals of the other countries of teh world.Is fantastic!!. In the Summit of Hill you see the statue of the Virgin, really is beautifull and big, she observe the city from the rise.
Other place in the outdoors is in the town of Quinta Normal, there is you should visit the big park of Quinta Normal. You can go to the "Atequin museum" or "Natural History museum", Near to find the beutifull park whit big tree where you could enjoy oneself of the outdoors. I like museums, there are very interestings, the museum most enjoy is the interactive museum “Mirador”, you shouldn´t to lose the experience, is unique.
You could play whit differents invents and devices, you find nails bed, device electronics and one funny area of bubbles.
At night you should visit ours discotheques and pubs, in the differents towns you find places for dancing and drinking whit your friends or you can know new persons. In the town of the La Florida there is the discotheque “Luxor”, is lively with the “Arabic” topic. It has the big pyramid and two sphinxes, is very easy locate. As well should enjoy the night live in the neighborhood “Bellavista”, there are all type of the pubs and restaurants whit live music of differents stiles. The food is in general the fast food empanadas, hot dog, Chips and for drink has beers, juice, coke and different liquors. Only you should careful whit hang over in the morning of next day. Is horrible

Education: My high school

In high school I studied at a technical college, many teachers there had entertained me much with them we had a friendship. Many teachers had overtime to help in some problems in the different subjects, often had extra classes in math or language courses because they were a bit difficult. My school was different from other schools because we are preparing to be nursery assistants, so we had some subjects as health and hygiene, educational, small business management and others.
I had fun with my friends a lot because it was a very entertaining always playing and laughing every days. We were only women in the group, usually there are some problems but everything was resolved because we had a great friendship.
We used low-tech class, we had a retro-projector, and in recent years use a Data Show. The school had few computers so that we will use them for homework. Sometimes we used the computer to chat with our friends on MSN but when a teacher saw us chatting us out of the room
The desicion to study in that school to take it along with my parents after school that had to work to help my parents. I do not regret that I really like my job, so now at university study career education. I think it's an excellent Desición because I like what I study.
I would tell the authorities that support access to good EducAcción but first of all ensure a good education as it is in schools like "Instituto nacional" or "Carmela Carvajal" Ubii I could enter a school where the education was better but money plays a fundamental role when choosing a college. Unfortunately it is reality.
I think each of us is responsible for his education because many people have the opportunity to study in a good school but not take the opportunity they have in front. It makes me very angry to know that there are millions of children to study in a better school but can not not have the opportunity, while others waste it.
Never heard the proverb "when the student is ready the teacher appears." I think you are right that if the student is ready is that he has the necessary attitudes, interest and seek to learn. When the student wants to learn for the roads needed to find a good education. Maybe that's what happened to me, I'm so eager to learn and know more than he needed to find opportunities.

Transantiago: before after

My opinion about transantiago is in some moments good and other moments is bad.Good because the buses (transantiago)are very clean. And bad because when I come to University or other places the buses take too long to arrive to the station all more reason to arrive always late in the class or important situations.
The new system in comparation with the old system is a little better because the yellow buses it was old model, the buses was scrap. The new buses are modern, has big windows,wides corridors and the driver don´t take money, only drive.
Other differens is the appearance, the olds buses was did yellow.. ugly!!
The worst experience i had into Transantiago buses was when a guy attacked a man for steal his money. I was really scared, until appeared a police man and arrested to the offender. Since the drivers don't receive money for the bus ticket, sometimes in some bus lines, delinquents attack them to the passengers for steal his money...Some places in Santiago are dangerous. I would change the security system for the passangers in some bus lines. The communication with the police and buses, in emergencies, must be really fast.

A country I would like to visit

I would like to go Mexico, specially my favorite place Acapulco. I would like visit its beautiful beach, its white sand and blue sea. I like to go Mexico because Acapulco is a place to have a rest after all work in the University and the stress in my city. I know its beautiful beaches only by the images that appear on the Mexican soap opera.
Acapulco is a place to relax and enjoy the beautiful landscape. I would love to bathe in the sea to sail on a yacht. Paradise is a place.
Acapulco has the best combination of entertainment and the beauty of nature. I could spend day and night to enjoy the incredible surprise of this tropical paradise.
Acapulco is a perfect place to relax, it is always good to stop and have free time just for me. I do not think that Acapulco is a place to study or work. I could study in Cuba, that is a place where I could learn a lot of pedagogy, but when I want to take a break from the routine I would go to Acapulco

First Term: Good and bad points

My experience in the first term 2009 was very good, I learned many things in college, I had the privilege to know excellent teachers. This semester I learned some things but knew theoretically that when visiting places of educational practices could not make them. I also know the more amiable side of the teachers because some teachers were very friendly with us. I even talked with some teachers in the corridors of the university but did not speak only of studies, we talk about everyday life.
I can not speak much about the sport that I really am not a fan of that.

Here at the university require us to make a minimum two sports. I now do two sports, Power fitness and other called Pilates. I was tired too but I had to do it.
The challenges faced were the subject of English, I was not much to write in English, much less talk but I do possible.
My family had a good start of the year because my brother now has the professional title "teacher", soon in the future there will be two teachers in my family.

SECOND SEMESTER

My blogging experience

For me it was a good idea to exercise power through the English writing on blogs. is difficult for us all day we are studying at the university have time to exercise our diction and writing in English so this is a good alternative to consider. is also a faster way to power crregir errors because you have a connection online with the teacher was always available to help.

I think it is a good way to make pactica what we learn in English because he wrote about everyday things such as holidays or our favorite things.

I thought it was very difficult to write in English but with time it makes me easier, I do not handling perfectly but I have had great progress in English.

My ideal job

It's hard for me to deciderce mde that unlike many people I think that our area has the most able to develop in a number formaa. can be in research, work in NGOs, rural education, adult, etc.. but I have thought about an alternative that interested me enough

My ideal job is to be a teacher somewhere rural. ideally at the southern tip of Chile. I think we need a good education llebar to distant places of our capital, because it always the children of the cities, especially santiago stained more opportunities than children in extreme places of our country.

I am from people who think that such children are more inteciones of parender new things, give a high value on education because they know that there are few opportunities tuienn at your fingertips, not that they do not know but that not given the necessary opportunities to develop

My favorite subject

At school there were not many subjects that I liked math and history for example. But not all was bored, that was also the subject of visual art that I loved to attend. in visual arts into many things such as sculptures, paintings, et cetera. I liked this subject that I loved from small things to create new drawings, sculptures, among other things. whenever the subject had good grades, not because we make things easy but because I really liked it.

Another subject that I liked was music (also with art) that taught us to use different instruments, which I was most difficult was to learn the guitar for that much hurt fingers pressing the strings. but when we played the song I was going to drive better. I'm not a great singer but I made it easier than playing guitar.

Robinson also said that education should always be creative. Mr Robinson says that creativity is as important as learning to read or write. but the school gives more importance to mathematics, languages and art left him last.

The best in my area

I think the best in the area of education is Gabriel Salazar. He is a historian known in the world. last semester we had the honor of having classes with him. I learned a lot about how best to teach.
The most important thing we teach is that children have a very interesting story to tell, it's our job to publicize this story.

Professor Gabriel Salazar for Chile today is a bit out of the margins. Ever said that Chile should have better memory and not forget that the real story is the one that tells the villagers. The most humble and simple people who are living the story differently. This new way of making history is not on the books that gives us the government is not in books written by historians.

my future

I will do in my future? I would love to work in education because I really like teaching and learning with children, but I also like to continue studying psychology and maybe another career or make a magister related area that. Education in psychology or anything. But to study it is necessary to have money

Leaving everything to one side, the time and money, dream with the power to open a kindergarten for all children. megustaría teach them new things, help them cope with their lives well. that children learn to choose what they want, they see that the school gives them the freedom and autonomy to grow.

otherwise I'd like to do is travel the world, I know it is very ambitious but possible. know other places, other cultures would help me grow as a person.

but focused on the most intimate I would love to have a family and give more joy to my parents

I think I have much time left and much to enjoy in life ... I hope to do anything they want to do now.

My career

My career is Preschool and elementary school teaching traning, on the faculty Social cience in the University of Chile. I chose this career because is very interesting his Student's Handbook centers on the investigation and formation of educational critical futures that are a help to improve the education in Chile. Also I like because in this career they make in everything semesters practices in different schools and garden of children in Santiago. I dislike This career about it force a read many boocks and research very difficult understand, in general the boocks aren`t interest.

My professional expecttion for future? In de future I would like to teach childrens in social risk or teach adults to read and write, would be a good way of putting into practices what we teach at the university. But too I like teach in preschool because it`s very fun work whit the little childrens

The best photograph

This picture is my favorite, here is my little niece Michelle, she is eight years old, in this moment she was playing in a square of the Serena, is something that remids me of her. I took this photograph when I was on vacation two years ago, when visiting with my parents. From that moment that I do not see, but every weekend I call by cell phone, she tells me of her pranks and what they do in school, she has excellent qualifications. I am proud of it!!

Serena lives in my sister Mònica with my brother- in- law Henry and my niece Michelle, when I miss them I see this photograph and I remember the precious moments with we spent together. My niece is very important in my life, her is my beautiful little girl.

My favorite piece of technology

My favorite piece of technology is the Console video games "Play station", i got it two years ago and bought with my boyfriend is the crazy about the video games.
I got it because in the free times we bored. I do with it play sometimes in the weekend whit my boyfriend and his sisters, we play aventure and role games. Wy life wolud be the same wiyhout my Play station, enjoy play with my console video games but it isn´t important for my life.

I also other favorite piece of technology, is the laptop because it is comfortable and I can take it anywhere without connecting it to electricity, can be connected to the internet where I want for to work in the university and but I haven´t the laptop because I have very little money and I can´t buy one. I can live without fun playing video games.

Save money and maybe porfin able to compare a laptop, so everything would be easier!!

My last vacation

In the summer I did work in everything holidays but went for one week in Frebrary with my boyfriend Jorge and his family (Granddad, Granny and his sisters Marcia and Daniela) We to stay in the hostal "El Velero", there we sleep and ate delicious food... ñam!!. In the morning we went to seaboard central ( San Antonio, Algarrobo...). We went to swim in the beach of seaboard every day´s and to night went to the Pubs and disco...We spendit well

I remember that the climate in the morning was cold but in the rest of day was very Heat..uf!!. I did not know what to dress... to use jacket or not. Jorge did not like the heat but to my if because I can swim in the beach.

the moment I will never forget about it, is the Saint Valentine's Day because my boyfriend we met a romantic walk along the city, we walk along the beach while we look at the late afternoon and in the night we want to dance. It was one very special day ... and I will not forget it

The bad thing was the return because we travel so much that the feet were scars

My Best friend

My best friend is Ingrid, she ´s 20 years old.

Ingrid to my best friend met her when I was in high school around of 7 or 8 years ago, stab her in another class at recess but we met to talk nonsense and I remember even jaja

What I like about her is her simplicity and good humor, sometimes we laugh to laugh, but not like when something gets angry and it is better not to be near her!

ingrid was crazy with ... ostias eat in the school with school meal and be caught up by the priest ... we had to pay to pray 10 Ave Maria and 30 Padres Nuestros ... bored we were praying but delicious ostias

We even met Ingrid and festivals where we will remember the pranks of years ago...

I´m santiago girl, my birthday is Dicember 6 st.
Now I ´m 21 years old and I´m little sister of the my family. But I hate call me "conchito".
I like a pets and travel in my holidays.
